MSFD Descriptor 6: Bunkering Areas

Boundaries of offshore bunkering areas and relocated waiting area for vessels. Activities within these zones are regulated through various legislation: Authority for Transport in Malta Act (Chapter 499 of the Laws of Malta) Ports and Shipping Act (Chapter 352 of the Laws of Malta), Dangerous Cargo Ships, Marine Terminals and Facilities and Bunkering Regulations (S. L. 499.12), Vessel Traffic Monitoring and Reporting Requirements Regulations (S. L. 499.34) Berthage and Anchorage Dues Regulations (S. L. 499.38), Berthing Regulations (S. L. 10.30), and Official Nautical Charts.
